VACALA DETERMINED TO FINISH STRONG AT RALLYX NORDIC SERIES FINALE

NYSUM, DENMARK (AUGUST 10, 2021) - The last round of the RallyX Nordic Series will be in Arvika, Sweden on August 13-15. American, Lane Vacala, is looking to close out the season strong with his team, Selection to Success Rallycross (STSRX). He is finishing his first season in the RallyX Nordic series traveling across Europe.

“This race will be the first time I'm racing at a rallycross track I’ve been to,” said Vacala. “Having tested there earlier this year, I am looking forward to building off that test and being competitive.” 

The testing from earlier this year will certainly give Vacala more of an advantage than he had previously. He has achieved good pace this year, but there have been some struggles with the car and driving errors.

“Although we haven't gotten the results we want due to untimely mistakes by myself and having some mechanical gremlins,” said Vacala. “We have shown good speed and had big improvements throughout.”

The season has been focused around getting seat time for Vacala. He recently announced he will be driving for Indycar team and rallycross lites championship winners, Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. The RallyX Nordic Series has been a great warmup and learning experience for the young American.

“We’ve been able to test different set ups at different tracks which has really helped me get a better understanding of what the pros and cons are to those changes.”

Vacala is aspiring to a great result not only for him, but the whole STSRX team saying, “Sandra (Hultgren) and the entire STSRX family has been a pleasure to race for and I would love to finish this series with a great result.”
